chiropractic + physiotherapy.
chiropractic
A natural method of maintaining health by emphasizing proper skeletal
alignment, posture, biomechanics and nervous system function.
physiotherapy
Ultrasound, electric muscle stimulation, advanced stretching, exercises
and neuromuscular re-education are combined to create innovative,
customized rehabilitation programs.
techniques used
-
•Full Spine - adjusting by hand
-
•Thompson Drop/Drop Table - use of the drop pieces on the chiropractic table
-
•Activator - small clicking instrument
-
•Extremity Adjusting - adjusting of the joints of the arms and legs
-
•Physiotherapy - ultrasound, electric muscle stimulation (aka electric stim or e-stim), stretching, exercises, and muscle work (spot massage)
what to expect
The entire body is checked, not just the spine. The spine is adjusted and all extremity joints are checked for misalignments as well. This only makes sense since everything is connected!
Muscle work (spot massage) is performed on any tight areas to allow for a better adjustment. In addition, stretches are usually performed on the client to help loosen any tight muscles, increase flexibility and to allow for a better adjustment. Ultrasound and/or electric muscle stimulation is used when needed.
what makes us different
We take our time with our Chiropractic clients. At Village Health, normal visits range from 10 to 20 minutes and can take up to 25 to 30 minutes depending upon the treatment needed. The normal at most other offices, is 5 to 10 minutes.
We allow for more doctor-client interaction and treatment time. Our chiropractor is able to spend more hands-on time with clients which results in clients needing less frequent visits and less visits overall to fix or correct a problem.
